I've read many of the posts pertaining to the outcome of a tangerine X tricolor breeding, and most agree that they are co-dominant traits with a 50% chance of getting either, with exceptions being snakes showing a little of both in their coloration. But how does this apply when breeding anery hondurans (including of course snows and ghosts)? Is there enough visual difference between tricolor and tangerine anery's to tell them apart?
I have an amel 66% pos/het anery female and a double/het snow female (both tricolor). My male anery het amel passed away recently, and I am looking to replace him with a tangerine anery het amel male. (I'm assuming that my mine was tricolor as it was a sibling to the double/het female and had a low cost).
Theoretically, I should get 1/8 snows from the double/het female, and either 1/4 or 0 snows from the amel pos/het anery female when bred to an anery het amel male; and then 1/2 of all offspring would be either tangerine or tricolor. I'd really like to know if being tangerine or tricolor has a profound effect on the coloration of the snows or not, or if they would be so similair that it would not matter.
Thanx in advance to anyone willing enough to help!
