I have tried a few different methods and my choice is provent-a-mite. I treated the cage according to the directions, waited two weeks and repeated. Knock on wood, I have not had to deal with them since.

Know what you are up against!

1. Read all three parts of this site VPI:
http://www.vpi.com/9VPITipsAndTechs/thewaragainstsnakemites/Mites-KnowTheEnemy.htm

2. Read this about the 3 larval stages besides the egg and the adult:
http://www.anapsid.org/mites.html

Provent-a-mite for cages, and Reptile Relief for reptiles (you can spray it right on them, but follow directions).

Good luck!
Caden
