tail loss=more supplements?

a few months ago my juvie ig, zephyr, lost about 2 inches off the end of his tail.it is growing back nicely, although it is black and looks funky, and i just wanted to know if i should increase his supplements from every other day to every day?i figured he needs more calcium to regenerate it but i wasnt sure.
