That is a sweet one for sure! I just got back from a trip to Fort Worth and visited the zoo. They had ruthveni. I may be out of the loop on ruthveni as I have never kept them. There were two in the enclosure, one being very similar to the one you pictured and the other being completely different. I have never seen a pic of a ruthveni that looked like the one there. Very "pine" looking. Anybody have any word on those or anyone else ever seen them? Take care!

Can you describe what you mean by the terms "pine looking"?
Did you take any pictures of the snakes there?

This is a pic from 2 years ago. At the time it was the only one in the enclosure. As I said in my previous email, there were two in the enclosure this time, the one pictured here and the one that I would say looked very similar to the pic that started this thread. Sorry I couldn't get a better pic. My camera's battery died this year so I wasn't able to get any new ones. I had to do some digging to find this one! Take care!
