Honduran milk breeding question

AllAmericanAgama May 02, 2006 05:56 PM

New to breeding milks. Am I too late to breed them this year. Both are adults. I put them together and they dont even much look at each other. I am in North Florida. Just wondering if I missed it this year. The female just shed first time this year about 8 days ago.

You didn't mention what kind of milks you're trying to breed. Some, like Pueblans, breed relatively early - I'm expecting eggs from mine next week. Others, like Nelson's, are late breeders.

Honduran Milksnakes. Tangerines to be exact.

My bad. I wasn't paying attention. Nope, it's not too late to breed Hondurans in 2006. About half of mine have started breeding. Below is a picture of a pair of my albinos courting tonight.

Hi

I breed my hondurans after their second shed post brumation so they are late breeders. My animals are just starting to breed the past week so you may not be late at all. Try puting them together and see how receptive the female is and how active the male gets into breeding. Never hurts to give it a shot. Hope it helps.
