gravid female cal kings

xbertmouser May 02, 2006 06:09 PM

i haven't been active here for a few weeks-not enough time in the week. but i wanted to show that my females are all holding eggs! they must be doing something right! this has been a big dream of mine to see the snakes i love so much go through all of the stages of reproduction and life. right now i am getting ready for the little ones. also i am trying to calm down the males. i keep telling them they did good but they still act like there is work to be done. hey i don't blame them they got some foxy gals to hang out with. i have learned so much from this project. next year i hope to move to other snakes and then the year after that my thayeri, mbk, and gray bands will be breeding age.cal kings, to me, were the best choice to start out breeding. i know that if i want to move on to other snakes i have to thin out the breeders but i have become so attached i am going to have a hard time picking out who will stay. i know it is part of the hobby to sell and trade so we will see.
thanks
jason

I like these girls. I particularly like the first and third ones. I hope that the little ones come out well for you. They are neat animals.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
