I was wondering if those red "heat glow" bulbs are okay on a geckos eyes. I have those and the "moon glow" ones and the red ones are so much brighter. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks.

You can use them. Reptiles don't see red and I'm sure they'd appreciate the heat

OK, thanks Quig. I got worried because I had a red lamp on my new hatchlings all day today and when I came home they both looked like they were squinting....? Guess I just woke 'em up. They have the moon bulb on them now...which one would they, or geckos in general, prefer? Thanks for your help.

sorry

I think, as long as neither one heats them up to much it won't matter. But if you think the red is to bright, maybe stick with the moon glow. I've used both on my leo and my fatties with no problem.
