It's my understanding that black light acts like sunlight in that it produces the vitamin D3 which helps in the absorption of calcium in lizards. So using it 24/7 may be overkill, but I haven't heard of any ill effects from it. JMO

had pointed out to me awhile back a blacklight puts out UV rays which to some bp's like an albino could be quite harmful,I guess it would be like being in a low power tanning bed that u cant get out of.but definitly do some more research on the matter
