Oke Eggs

tko75 May 04, 2006 01:24 AM

My Oke female layed her first clutch of eggs today.....21.
Im not sure how many are good, some dont look very good but Ill give them time to see. Can Oke's double clutch? Ive been told it is not common for them to do so.

It depends on the snake if you want to double clutch...
If its too thin or lethargic or doesn't eat or has a really hard time laying eggs it would be best not to...
If it loses little or no weight and eats well it could be double clutched...
Personally I wouldn't if it's the snakes first ever clutch.
My Blizzard layed 23 good eggs and is eating and is just about to shed...I think I'll try to double clutch her...
My banded is a couple of weeks away from laying....she's a small snake to begin with and I won't double clutch her....
Just my two cents....Hope it helps....
