Whats his problem....

WanderingLost May 04, 2006 01:01 PM

Hey Guys
I have a quick question about my Beardie. He has always been a pretty tolerable guy, If not a nice guy. I could Pick him up with minimal resistance, and he would sit on my shoulder. Recently, though, he has decided he doesnt like this. He doesn't mind if i touch him, but if i go to pick him up, he will flick his tail at me, as if to say, don't even try it buddy. he will also turn around really quickly, almost like he wants to bite me. What has happened to my friendly little guy?? What can I do to restore the friendly bond we once had?? Thanks.

About how old is he/she. It might just been like a teen phase they going through... Also, when picking 'em up, not to go for it too quickly. Bearded Dragon's natual enemies is/was birds. So if your had looks like a bird's claw to it, it'll try to defend itself. Wouldn't you if a big thing came from the sky at you real quick. Try scooping it up from the sides, slowly but not too slow.
