Back in 1997-98 I had a green female like that. She had no pattern on her head. I could kick myself for GIVING her away. She had cool little bowties all the way down her back. The guy I gave her too tried to breed her to a cal king and he ate her. Man what a waste.

BTW Russ that one is awesome. I take it you're looking for a female for him? Who produced that one?

Any news on your other three female thayeri?

Hey chris, I think you got me confused with mr. Bates.
I got this guy from home grown herps. and yes it would be nice to find something like him to breed with. I do have a nice orange keyhole female to breed with him next year.

Man you need to change your first name to Jefferson or Betty, LOL Sorry about that.... Mr Davis.

BTW I wouldn't breed that reduced pattern male to that keyholed female. I would remove that female from my collection. E-mail me and I'll give you an address where you can send that poor, pitiful, orange thing.

Chris..

Will the real Russ please stand up...............

Ok so now you know we are both real I got a kick out of it when I read the post.

Of the first two clutches (that all look bad to me) I have four eggs that are looking fertile and should go on to hatch. One female retianed two eggs (still has them) but I'm not sweating it as this happened last year to a sonoran and she eventually passed them almost 40 days later. I often wonder if deaths resulting from egg binding are a result of over aggressive owners trying to exact their will on the snake. Time will tell with this girl as she is a first year breeder but the biggest female I own....she is huge for a thayeri.

Hope all is well out west.....good luck with multi females sharing the same egg box.

Well........ I'm glad I could provide you with some entertainment. And you just left me dangling here for more than a week I will say something for Russ Davis though. He made the correction right away. I'm sure that he wanted to get that straightened out right away. LOL

Glad to hear about at least saving a few of those first 2 clutches.

I've got the nest box setup with two female thayeri in it right now. None of my females have shed yet although two of them are just turning blue now. Those two are in the nesting box and seem to be getting along just fine. I just checked on them and they're knitting some baby clothes and eating pickles.

These two

You have probably already seen the pic but I had this one hatch last year that is similar. There is someone in the San Fran Bay area that is producing them too.

I've posted them before but here is my 05 pride and joy. I have others as well; aberrant thayeri are the only kingsnakes i keep. Glad to see others interested in them! Thanks for the pic...
