How long does it take to cure a case of R I??? Ive been giving batryl for 6 days now oraly. He seems to show no signs of getting better. I was just wondering if it takes awhile... Pleezzzz give me some opinions..Thanx

In my experience it depends on how early you started treatment.
first off my vet(and I, shots every 3 days vs every day)like to use Amikacin, and if for some reason it doesn't work then use Baytril.
anyway, in most cases improvement is noticed in about a week to a week and a half.
I do have a rescue boa that gets sick very often because he was badly abused, and suffered almost constant RI for years with a previous owner.
since he needs treatment more often that a normal healthy snake I don't use aminoglycosides with him (only baytril), and he will not show improvement for a few weeks if he gets sick.
