Finally holding one back for myself

mystical-dragons May 05, 2006 11:48 AM

Last season I had to sell every last one of my Sobek x Myah offspring. I was tapped out on space, and couldn't possibly house any more future breeders. Finally I found a perfect place that fits both my growing family, and growing dragon/snake hobby. Finally I get to purchase all new pvc caging, and design that reptile room I always wanted (so many plans so few dollars) Moving all these huge 6x2x2 melamines made me wish I switched to pvc sooner...Like BEFORE the darn move!!! Even if I have to design that dream reptile room piece by piece by piece I'll at least have space to house a few holdbacks this season

All last season I watched top of the clutch dragons go out the door in hopes of making beautiful dragons for other breeders. While I love doing that, and providing other breeders the very best, I ate my heart out with every update pic haha.

This season with having more space to devote to my dragons I made it a point to pick me out a top of the clutch dragon. I think I found my holdback for the season in this young male from clutch 1 Sobek x Myah. I have 4 other sobek x myah clutches, and a few other pairings so who knows what I'll end up keeping, but this young dragons red-orange color saturation at this young age is going to be hard to beat.

hey,
you have beautiful dragons, to state first off.
What do you mean though by pvc enclosures?
how is it done?
I'm looking for a lightweight and cheap way to make a new home for my apidly growing gal Thor. and my new addition Ngozi. I dont have as many animals as you do thats for sure. But i do plan on getting a few more in the near future.

PVC cages are LIGHT WEIGHT, easy to clean, and stackable. After moving 12 6 foot melamine cages, and numerous sized others up a flight of stairs you appreciate the light weight, and easy clean up of pvc plastic even more LOL.

Basically it's just cages made out of pvc hard plastic. There are a few different companies making them right now. Just look in the classifieds here on ks. Here are a few companies I've found sites for www.animalplastics.com, www.visioncages.com, www.pvccages.com. A lot of people use them for snakes, but if you add a few extra vents, and a incandescent/fluorescent fixtures they make awesome dragon cages.

Not speaking for them, but I have several pvc cages and its put out by Reptarium. They come from 22 gal. all the way up to 260 gal. The 260 gal is 6 ft., by 3 ft., by 3 ft.. you can either stand it up to be high or put it on its side and make it long. Juat look up Reptarium on the internet and you'll be amazed, Bubba

That's not the cages I was talking about. I was talking about regular cages molded out of pvc. Solid stackable cages with sliding glass fronts, not the mesh type though those are great for sunning cages

B22 I have not purchased them yet. I just moved into my place, and will be setting everything up, and buying the cages for my reptile room piece by piece. They are not cheap, and I need many bif ones LOL. Not sure which brand or company I'm going to order from yet, but here are a few sites I found www.pvccages.com, www.visioncages.com, and at the local shows there are a few companies that make them custom order.
