adam britton snake daddy bill moss help somthins wrong with my nile

hey guys my nile hasint eatin for like 3 days he will never turn down food. heres the whole story i took him 4 days ago to a reptile specialist an had him sexed hes a boy but in order to have done that i had to take him outa the tank put him in a big plastic rubber made tank drove him lik 15 miles an then the guy grabbed him outa there picked him up turned him over to see if a hempene parden the spelling came outa his bulge while he was tryin to bite an sqerm anyway i brought him back home after this an he has been isolated in one spot of the tank he hasint moved around a whole lot an stopped eating i hope this didint make him sick nile crocs never turn down food hes a 3ftr too please guys any advice would be great will he return back to normal an does this happen with any croc when taken out of there habitat or tank whatever an drove down the street a few miles an also is it true that crocs do tend to reconize there keeper of a peroiod of time. please reply thanks best regurds Justin

hes most likely pouting to put human terms on it. Three days isnt that long in croc feeding terms since a healthy one can actually go months without feeding.

Give it a bit longer and a chance to start acting "normal" again, then try its favorite prey once again.

I would be suprised if it doesnt gobble it up.........

My nile (soon going to a new home feb 2004) does know me, and that i am the hand that feeds him. He comes over for food from me, but wont from anyone else.

He's probably still stressed from the experience. Just leave him alone for a week and try again. If he doesn't eat then, give him another week. If he has good body weight and is still alert with open, alert eyes, I wouldn't worry about it for at least a month.
