Possible gravid female is wheezing

kitten6500 May 05, 2006 07:44 PM

I have a possibly gravid female that I have not been handling much because she might be gravid. I was checking her temps and humidity today when I noticed her wheezing. It was inconsistent but every 10-20 seconds I could hear a wheezing noise come out of her. Should I be worried? She seems perfectly healthy otherwise and she has a hot spot around 94. I'm starting to worry about her and I'm wondering if I should be...

Not a pro and no hands on with a R.I. but i would suggest you get her to the vet soon. Also try raising your temps up, well you said that her hot spot was 90 so try keeping it at that 24/7. Im sure you will be getting a lot of advice from all the pros on here shortly!

Unless she is blowing bubbles dont take her to the vet. When I have gravid females or females that have ovulated they weeze because the eggs are developing and I think it kind of pushes on its lungs so they get the weezing. So I hope this helps.
