Nice pics Amy!
Those were all some really nice headshots! ...and kudos on trying to liven up the Dumeril's forum.
I love looking in from time to time, but apparently I don't miss much in between. (I've tried posting pics before to liven stuff up in here too)
I bought my female last June, and was told she was born in 2004 - eventhough she was the size of a neonate at the time. Basically the local petstore that I go to (they are awesome and my husband and I are on a first-name basis with almost everyone who works there) had gotten her in and couldn't sell her... and also couldn't get her to eat. She got me interested in this species, and in looking around on the internet to learn more, I stumbled into this forum. Reading some old posts, I picked up some of the pointers that people have used to get stubborn neonates to eat, returned to the store and told them some of the tricks I had read about (namely scenting the prey with a lizard, as they always have tons of lizards on hand). Later, I saw that she had left the display, so I figured she had sold. Talking with a guy who worked in the store later, I found out he had bought her, and wanted to sell her because he was getting offered a deal on a breeding pair of Argentine boas and needed the cage space. I was hooked from long ago, so of course I had to buy her! She's a bit stunted in her growth from not eating for so long as a neonate, but she is gorgeous and everything I look for in a good pet snake. I'm playing with the idea of getting a male for her down the road, but for now she's just a pet.
Sounds like you've done pretty well in acquiring your 3. Good luck with everything!
