Misting device.

kriswaters May 06, 2006 01:44 AM

I was shopping at my local Walgreens today, (my employer as well) and happened to find a nifty little gaget. It is a 10 oz bottle with a hand piston-pump. Attached is tubing with a mister on the end. It is designed as a personal mister, but I took it home and incorporated it into my new cage! 7 or 8 pumps and it mists for about 5-7 minutes!

Hoping it will make things a little easier!

Here is a picture of the cage.

I have a web site address for it, but in fear of getting my post deleted, don't want to add here.

It is pretty cool, and for 9.99, not a big financial decision!

It is refered to as a 'mist mate'. My place of employment carried the small ones, as you mentioned and I bought myself. they also carried a larger one but it was far too expensive. I was able to get mine for 5 dollars due to it being discontinued.

I think someone mentioned these a LONG time ago (like a couple years) Don't recall the outcome - have you two found it to work well?

It works wonderfully! I turned it on this AM and Squig went right to the droplets that were forming. It has a very fine mist, so he wasn't worried about getting under it. The small capacity allows me to fill it up with warm water, then pump it and let it work!

The only thing I don't like is the coiled tubing that leads from the bottle to the mister....I will tear apart my other dripper and tie into it so that I can make it longer.

Squiggy loves his new cage. The extra room really makes him "hunt" for those crixs! He is in shed right now (3rd one since I've had him) and the mist is nice cuz he isn't afraid to get under it!

I am so bad with time! I know that Pudge died mid to end January, and Squiggy arrived beginning of February. He was 3 months so I guess he was born in November.

Tyler, if your out there....when was Squiggy born? LOL

Anyway, this is his third shed...and he is getting big!

Boy, I guess I got a bargin on mine! I scrolled through and found one that was close to my style "SPORT" and it was 49.99--wow!

I will have to search the Walgreens in my district (I have 24 stores) and maybe I can find some more!

Luck sometimes happens!
