Worms???

pitboss3 May 06, 2006 10:12 AM

Whats up? I was just cleaning the filter for my Caiman and American. When I pulled it apart I noticed a lot of little worms about an inch long and what appeared to be eggs in the foam part. Whats up with that? Are they parasites or something that would just be living in the filter? Whats the best way to get rid of them? Am I not cleaning the tank enough? Anything helps. Thanks.

Riggs - Approx 4'
Murtaugh - approx 2.5'
Water temp - 80 degrees
Pond - 100 gal
Feeding - 3 Adult Mice, every three days

what kind of filter and how often is the water changed? Unlikely to be parasites but can't be certain without seeing it.
