Valentino's Scab pics

dianedfisher May 06, 2006 09:48 PM

This is a picture of Valentino and his VERY LOOSE scabs. The lower area has already fallen off and much of the top pieces are hanging off him. I think Eric A. was right (as usual) and some of the areas appear to be reforming lighter scabs, but the bottom areas are definitely new skin. Anyway, he is eating like a little pig, shooting for water from his dripper and moving around the cage like it's a race track. Diane

Thank God, so happy to see he hung in there, and has done so well through this whole ordeal.
I had rescued a badly burned (3d degree burns) female egyptian uromastyx 6 years ago and it took atleast a year for her back wounds to even close up. It was just bloody flesh all that time, just terrible

Amazing these lizards can go through so much suffering and come out sweet One of the sweetest lizards I own, that girl CLEO.

Thanks Eve and Lele. This morning when I wiped out the bottom of the cage, 2 big hunks of scab material was mixed in. he was "hiding" in his tree so I didn't bother him, but I'll see this evening which pieces they were. Diane
