6' or 8' cage?

coiledtostrike May 06, 2006 09:52 PM

I have an '05 male tiger retic (Nineveh), who's in a temporary setup right now. I want to order him a cage from Animal Plastics since I've ordered from them in the past and I really love their cages, but my question is:

Should I buy him a 6-foot cage, or an 8-foot cage?

I want something that can last him for a long time to come, and something he will be happy and comfortable in, too. Thanks in advance!

A 6 ft cage will be fine for him but if you have the space and the money for the 8 ft and you don't think the extra open space will affect his appetite go for the 8 footer.

I would say go for the 8ft. I have a 6ft vision for my super tiger that is an 05 as well and I am wanting to get 2 8ft cages one for my burm and another for my retic. My Burm is 12 feet and it looks a little crapped, and she has a AP 6ft cage. I love AP cages though.

Just my thoughts

I just received and put together a T70 from AP the other day. It's an awesome cage that should last most large snakes a lifetime. For a retic, I would recomend going with an 8 ft cage if possible. Most retics will eventually outgrow a 6 ft cage.
