she turned yellow?

TonyZ May 07, 2006 02:12 PM

some of you may have been following my posts on stones the sickly gecko i took in and how she is doing much better, so much so that over her last 2 sheds she has gotten more spots and has turned a very bright yellow
is this common for recovering geckos to get more color or is it just because she is maturing?

WOW! What a great job you are doing with her. She lookd great!

I would have to say a little bit of both with the color. They change a lot as they grow from a hatchling to an adult. But in this case I would say the added color that you are seeing is because she is much healthier.

WAY TO GO!

I am astounded at how fabulous that gecko looks after being so close to death! I would not have recognized it, and the color change is so dramatic! I'm trying to care for a terribly tiny underweight blizzard right now and it's slow going but I see improvement. Seeing a success story like yours gives me the inspiration to keep trying with the hope that it might turn into a happy healthy animal one day. WAY TO GO!!
