Charlie's trip outside, and a veil myth

captotterboy May 07, 2006 02:19 PM

hey all,
I took charlie outside for an hour today in order to get him his first natural sun sunbath. I didnt have a camera, but ill get one for next time. He turned fantastic colors. Bright yellow and green and blue and others. It was neat.

But... i have heard a myth about chameleons turning nasty in natural sun and i think its right. I gave charlie some stuff to climb on where he could get sun and be under some cover at the same time... and i have never seen him be so defensive. He didnt hiss at me or anything, but he did lunge and do the imitation leaf thing and curl his tail and jut out his chin. When i pickup him up he relaxed as i brought him inside (normally when i pick him up he begins to crawl towards my face or perch on my shoulder anyway). But while he was outside he was more of an ass than i have ever seen him. hehe, kinda funny actually.

Jeff
