Are the chemical neutering drugs that can be used on iguanas? It seems like an o.k. way to help in humanely controlling the population.
I can see how there could be many problems (multiple doses, requires injection, things of that nature) but I think it is worth looking into.
I figure that is it was a pill, they could be inserted into bananas, and if it requires injection, it could be administered by something similar to a tranquilizer-dart (without the tranquilizer of course).
Just a thought.

Great Idea........hadnt thought of birth control techniques yet...........if can give a dog a birth control pill you can certainly target the Alpha Male Iguanas for capture and re release.......over time the population would automaticly decline in specific areas of attention......totally perfect solution...will pass this on to others and see what their reaction is
