Well I went to the local petstore in town today to sell them some feeder mice/rats. I got to looking around and couldn't believe what I found. They had an adult pair of tricolor hognose for sale...normally this petstore just deals with your basic baby ball pythons, cornsnakes, kingsnakes, etc...so when I saw these two I couldn't believe my eyes. I asked the owner where he acquired them and he said he had a customer come in a trade them in for some fish...needless to say I was astounded. They are gorgeous and healthy...both have awesome weight to them too. I offered him a trade and we worked out a deal. He was only asking $75 each for them. In the short time it took me to get home, they were already locked up...apparently the male was in the mood and didn't waste any time getting down to business. I left them alone and separated them this morning...just offered them each a f/t rat pup and they took it right from my tongs.
I couldn't be any happier. I'm thrilled with the deal I got. Just thought I'd share my newest acquisitions with everyone. The pics aren't the greatest since I didn't want to disturb them. Amazing!
