fighting geckos

I just went to a reptile show yesterday and got a albino leopard gecko thats already pregnant. And i already had a male carrot tail leo and when i put her in with him he started biting her and she started biting him back.I was woundering if they were doing that because she's pregnant or they just don't like each other.I seperated them,i was thinking about keeping her seperated till she has lays her eggs.

well they are fighting because she is already pregnant. the male wants to breed but she fought back because at the moment she wants nothing to do with him. she can lay up to 10 clutches of eggs so you better get prepared and do some reading!!. biting is normal breeding behavior, but when the female fights back it is not the right time for her. each clutch can be layed every 2-4weeks apart. start getting ready for this. incubater, blah, blah.... the babies will also need to be housed seperatly or at least each clutch needs to be seperate. the age difference will cause bullying and they will try to eat each others tails...anyhow some other people im sure will have some advice and i will stop blabing. also you should never put a gecko with your healthy gecko befor quaratining it for at least 3 months to make sure its not sick.
