roach question...

rat_wrangler May 07, 2006 07:25 PM

I am going to start breeding my own mealworms and roaches (mostly because i'm fed up with crickets) and i was wondering what type of roach would be best for leopard geckos and ackies? I would prefer to use something that can't easily escape because my family isn't as tolerent of loose insects as i am. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Blaberius discoidalis! False-death head's roaches, or discoids.

They can't climb, arn't very fast as far as roaches go, don't fly, and are as dumb as hell! I began breeding and feeding them this winter and am wondering why it took me so long to rid myself of the cricket disaster.

Once established, you'll have more than you could ask for. The adults may be to large for your critters, but the babies are perfect, you'll never have to let them become too big.

Go to www.blaberus.com for all the roach info you'll need
