Picky Pastel

tailswithscales May 07, 2006 09:39 PM

I have a NERD pastel ("Dexter" who is a picky eater. Now what I mean by picky is that this kid will only eat f/t jumbo mice or f/t small rats. I find this very surprising as most snakes will only eat live rodents. Now don't get me wrong!!!! I am in NO way complaining that he loves his f/t rodents but I have only heard of a BP having this type of eating preference a couple of times.

Do any of you have this expierience with your balls? Will they only eat f/t rodents and snub their cute little noses at a live (or even p/k) rodents?

Yeah - I have many that have a clear preference for the F/T - some that it doesn't matter - a couple only take live.

I love that little guy ... he is a real beauty, and how lucky can you be that he loves f/t rodents

LOL.I can empathise... I have an o4 female pastel"Sweet Pea" which will only eat f/t Mice ... from Petco. Her brand loyalty however admirable, is driving me mad!

I was wondering if when you feed f/t do you just leave the dead mouse in the cage or introduce it with tongs?
