O/T Madagascar collared Iguanid

PHEve May 08, 2006 07:42 AM

This is "JANGA" a female madagascar collared iguanid, I have always liked these guys, sorta have a collared typed face (and the collars) and a longer body like my desert iguana, and a spiny tail, like an armadilla.

Very cute and interesting lizards. My buddy Lindsay Pike from Urotopia rounded up a trio for me to work with. Looks like I have a reversed trio, two males and one female.

Janga , the female is the smallest and then theres Zuka, a medium male, and a BIG male named Jumba They are a kind of docile lizard, a bit nervous but I can see with handling atleast down the line, I would think they will be a friendly as the collareds.

Yeah, they are Cool Vonnie but the tail is more slender and spiny than the rounded thick heavy spiny tail of the uro. They look exactly like the armadilla lizards tail. Kinda pointy spines. They are cuter in person, orangey and some bluish and yellowy spoltches.

Heres Zuka, the meduim male, then Janga again and the bottom is Jumba a big guy !
