Hey i have another brom growing out from one of the axis in my existing brom and i was wondering what should i do? Should i try to separate them and if so how? What happens if i just let it be? Thanx in advance.

That's a "pup." I would let it be unless you want to use it elsewhere. The original plant will usually gradually die back after blooming and/or "pupping," so you may want to keep it as a filler for this event. If you want it elsewhere, or it puts out more than one, just cut the "pup" off with a nub of the "root" attached, and peg it in where you want it. The roots are mostly for attaching the bromeliad to branches and not as actively involved in nourishing the plant like terrestrial plant roots are. Different species behave in somewhat different manners, of course. But usually one bromeliad will last about a year, then replace itself with one or more offshoots before it dies back.

Just as Patty said, you can leave it or cut it off, your choice. I have heard, however, that you should wait until the pup is about half as large as the mother plant before separating them, so you might want to give it a little time to grow.
