Hi Yellow breeding group ( color pattern popularity)

lamarr Jul 30, 2003 06:43 PM

I am now officially a gecko rancher! I bought a group of females from a kingsnake advertiser but am unsure how to express my extreme plasure. Is it o.k. to post a name with a good report but not a bad one?
Anyhow I picked the high yellow color phase as a personal favorite and was wondering how the multitude of colors rank in popularity.

Congratulations! You've found it!
Evidently yellow ranks high with you. That's ALL that matters. Don't let anyone try to SELL you on something just because it is more popular with someone else. Your taste may change but it's best to stick with your personal favorites.

Thanks for the reply Rick. I'd have to agree that picking your own favorite will keep you in the hobby longer but the dilema is that my daugter wants us to work 2 different color strains. She got a hi yellow pair and I found 10 breeder size females that are pre-hit by a nice SHCT. By next yearr she will own the girls and I will have to have a fallback color! I saw a pic of a "snow leopard" that was white with the black spots. Are these available or was he a 1 of a kind poster boy? BTW great site

If you want to breed snows try to find adults as often hatchling snows end up looking normal when they age. Even with two snows many of your hatchlings will turn into normal leos but if you like them go for it.
