after keeping and breeding tortoises for more than 24 years .I would not consider myself a expert with every kind of tortoise but post a question and they come running.

I offer my opinion on this website all of the time, But I almost always begin my opinion by saying. "I'm no expert but...." As a matter of fact, I havent seen anyone come out and say, "Hey Im an expert!" This site seems to operate on people sharing their experiences and knowledge that comes from trial and error. Please dont attack these people by making fun of them. We learn from eachother on this site.

Actually, this forum has mellowed considerably from the days that the moderators had to shut it down periodically due to radically different viewpoints.
I always thought that this forum was a great place that people could use to share "what worked for me".
I have been involved with keeping tortoises for only 11 years or so but have learned a lot through trial and error. I am always willing to share "what worked for me" in the hopes of making things easier for someone else.
Expert? Not really.
Willing to help? Of course!
I hope this forum continues to be a place for people to share their experiences. I still have much more to learn.
