Some say IMG, some say something new, one said dont worry about breeding it until he saw it in person, a few tried to buy it.
Just looking for as many opinions I can get....

Let me guess... started out as a few patches turning yellow/orange... and has worked its way to that color... unless you bought it that way. But thats how it works. I know someone who has one that just started doing that... I also have one. Ususally it happens to adult imports from what I have seen. Correct me if I am wrong here, but isnt IMG linked to stress?
None the less, I dont think anyone really knows for sure if IMG is genetic, stress related aside. It would sure be neat if you mixed that with several other morphs and caused that to happen... think of the colors! Sounds like a fun project to me. Also keep in mind sometimes some traits turn up non-genetic with one animal, but genetic with others that show the exact same thing. So its always worth a shot.

Here is a pic of our IMG. I do not think its the same thing and No IMG is not due to stress. Not sure why they do what they do but we have a clutch of IMG to IMG on the ground and hope to figure it out in 53 days....
Gary.... Beautiful snake....

That is a beautiful snake but I agree with Mike on that It is not an IMG. Here is a pic of a IMG that I have been working with. Thanks Erick
Exotic Designs

Kara from NERD posted some pics of their chemical ball a while back on the NERD forums.
Theirs has a very light head and alot of the black is faded. Its not as bright yellow as this one either. That is a nice looking snake though.
IMG = Increasing Melanin Gene
No where on that snake do I see an increase in the black pigment(usually most notable in the yellow/brown pattern) though looks to me like the animal has lost the browns, leaving it with a pale cream yellow color, very cool, and I have as well heard animals like that referred to "Acid washed" or "Chemical" types.

Sign of the Serpent
Usually in the case of an IMG ball the Snake keeps getting blacker and blacker on its side pattern. Thus the name IMG = Increase Melanin Gene. I would say your ball python has gotten lighter with age. Good luck. Thanks David
but that came from a person that saw it in person and they are a very well known breeder. I dont know enough about the IMGs and I think we group alot of "weird" animals into that class that have a certain look.
I guess if its something we will all know in about 3 years...
and wish I could call it "Mine".
Good luck with it!
