reptileforest May 09, 2006 10:55 AM

Do any of you guys know where to get a cheap cover/top for my 125 gallon tank. When I bought the tank, it didnt come with the top. Now I am trying to find one and am having no luck online. Any web sites and prices would help. Thanks

your best bet is to just make your own, should be a lot cheaper also!

I would make a frame out of probably 1x2's, then make a lid that opens up on both sides also with 1x2's, staple in some screen or chicken wire on the lids, hindge them up, put a handle on each lid and you should be good to go.

you could stain or paint the lid also if you really wanted to, this should save you a lot of cash compared to buying a top for the tank, it would also be better suited for a crocodilian
