Burm Bowels Continued......

True to form the champ has regained his belt! Only hours after posting, I went to check on him and he had produced a large healthy stool. Of course. I feed him until he is not interested in food anymore and I thought that would work o.k., but if you think I should up the size of rats indeed I will. Thanks Bill, and thanks David. Maybe surgery thoughts were a bit hastey.LOL. BTW- how much longer until I should upgrade his 40 gallon high home? I know the perimiter should at least be 1 1/2 times the length of the snake, and if I know my math he should be o.k. for at least a few sheds, right? THANKS

My thinking is that if he's not cramped now, he soon will be. His exercise regimen mitigates the living space question to a degree, but I reckon you'll need to be moving up soon. Have you decided on what his next and/or permenent enclosure will be?

That was my feeling too. He would most likely enjoy the extra space a.s.a.p.. I'm thinking a 72 inch long,3-3 1/2 foot deep, 2 foot high custom, that is also stackable. I just don't have the funds available at the moment, but by his first b-day he'll have his new home one way or another. I know young pythons can also feel insecure in a large cage, so I'm hoping he'll do okay when I do make the move. Thanks again Bill.
