Hello all!!! We are excited about the gecko eggs that have been laid over the last few days! But I have a question. I didn't check the lay box for two days and yesterday I found two eggs in there. One looked OK and the other was alittle dehydrated( not much but has a little crease in it. The lay box was starting to dry out but the one egg was in moist substrate the other egg was in a bit more dry substrate. I put it in the incubator and made sure the moisture was A-OK in there. So my questions are:
#1 How log can the eggs stay in the lay box on the warm side in moist substrate?
#2 What about the egg that was in substrate that was drying out? Will it bouce back if the proper Moisture is in the incubator?
#3 Lastly, I am using Beast a Beast substrate in the lay box only and the eggs are fairly dark so I do not see how I can candle them. Does anyone else use this and if so how to they do it?
