New chuck owner

bluethunder May 09, 2006 06:29 PM

I just received a pair of chucks over the weekend. The male is a large redback from the Stoddard area...as is the female. He is the largest chuck I have ever seen. I measured him at 17 inches. I am sure there are larger ones out there...besides the Angel Isle species.

How about posting some sizes on some of your chucks? By the way...chucks are about the coolest lizards. My cousin has a pair and the male is "dog tame" It was wild caught but now comes when called, eats out of his hand and crawls up his arm to his shoulder to sit. His male came from Palm Springs but looks totally different. It is almost entirely light tan with just a bit of orange speckling on it's back. It is only about half the size of the monster I got.

Anyway, it is great to read all the good posts on this forum.

Thanks Eve. What is the best way to post pics here? Do you have to have something like Photobucket, or can you just upload them from your pc? I like the shots of yours...that light one under he redback seems very large...what locale is he/she from?
