Savu Python

Ophiophthalmos May 09, 2006 09:50 PM

Just got a baby Savu. Nice orange color - feeding well in his/her new container.

Really neat eyes - nice personality.

They are great snakes. Don't be surprised if he's nippy for the first year or so. Keep handling him regularly, and he should eventually become very docile. They like to burrow and hide during the day and climb around at night.

I got one recently too and she is awesome! She is already changing colors and getting in her speckles. I assume this becomes darker with each shed. She is quite the little piggy but she hasn't been too nippy. I plan to breed these in the future because they are such a wonderful little species!
