flashlights and slobber

jrandall May 09, 2006 10:56 PM

Heading back down from lubbock to alterna land after 15 years and gearing up. I read some posts on flashlights. I purchased a foxfury.com light performance series. 24 LEDs. They look like car head ligts and last all night on 4 AA. The sales guy said they are actually 1/3 the power of a headlight. what brand of headlight he's referring I don't know, but he sold me....sounded pretty bright. I'll let ya know how they do. And to the slobbering of my GBK. just bred, fresh water, good temps, middle of shed and shavings are sticking to the side of his mouth. Slobbering or drooling bad. Not all over the cage but kinda like some people drool when they sleep. He's seems healthy, a little lax maybe, but when handled he does just fine. what the heck?? Is this normal? Thanks for all the help to a newbie. See ya'll down there!! Jrandall

I have a 32 LED flashlight by Guide Gear. I really like the light it throws. It's a soft and even light that does not hurt your eyes. It's very bright and good for walking as the light casts few shadows even when shining into grass or bushes. Also the batteries last forever, I walked 3 to for 4 hours a night for 7 nights on one set of 3 C-batteries. The only problem is the Guide Gears are super whimpy and break easy.
I just got a catalouge from The Sportsman's Guide and they have a metal 41 LED light that I am going to try. They are cheap, 2 for $30.
