Although I have a cream, and 2 amels, 1 zig zag, I'm not a big fan of pink eyes on snakes. Other animals I like it.

But those are great looking snakes, and the pink eyes go perfect.

And I want to thank you for putting another corn on my want list.

Question for you... are their eyes amel-red like the pics seem to indicate, or is that just a trick of the lighting?

The iris are a little darker than in the pic, the female is almost pink and the male is darker almost ruby like in color.

I only ask because if the eyes are amel-colored then they're not ultramels. Ultramels have a ruby eye that's hard to photograph.

Here's an example comparison between amel and ultramel in terms of eye-color.

The parents are amel motley X ultra hypo caramel motley, from what I was told if you breed an Ultra to an amel all babies are Ultramels.
If that's true then both snakes would have to be Ultramels, the motley gene does have a bad habit of lightening up colors etc..
What tiny amount of white I can find is purplish.

Some 'ultramels' have been misidentified as 'ultra', so it's possible that amel offspring could've been produced (if that's the case). For example, my ultramel motley het caramel was sold as an 'ultra hypo motley het butter' when I bought him.

The 'purplish white' thing does sound more ultramel-y though.
