How warm are they? Too hot or too cold and they will die. I keep mine at just 80. That is the temp of my room. Any warmer and they die. Colder than like 65 or 70 and they die. Be sure too that the water source is always clean. Sometimes either a bacteria or something will get in there and wipe them out. I always scrub out the tub before putting in new or if it is at all grungy. Sponges can hold bacteria. I use the scrub pads (scotch brite sort without soap) and cut them to fit the shallow dish. At least once a week I take them out and rinse them in HOT water and bang out the yuck. I feed baby cereal mix. Works well and every time I got to switch I lose crix....so I stick with it.
