Looks like an old Garter snake. Someone with a bit more knowledge of the snakes in your area could probably shed some more light on it.
It may just be the camera angle, but I'd say there's a good chance you'll be seeing a lot more garter snakes in your yard soon. That one looks gravid.

its an eastern garter.... Plains have the side stripe up on scale rows 3 and 4...the stripes on the back and side are more distinct also. That also looks like a gravid female.
