i was just wondering, can baby ackies handle the same high temperatures as larger ackies? like, can they handle a 165 degree basking spot? im getting my ackie cage set up and i just built some Retes stacks and the top of the stacks is like 150-165 degrees but the other levels drop down in temperature A LOT. i mean A LOT A LOT. i guess ill have to get a dimmer or something for the light maybe.

Hi, Yes they can, but its far easier to dehydrate small ones that large ones. The hotter the hotspot the faster a cage looses humidity.

So I would back it down a bit, maybe 125F tops. consider, young ones are not breeding, they can heat up quick, so anything around 100F would be fine and safe. Cheers
