Chondropython to Morelia

In what year did the taxonomy name change occur? I'm writing an article for our HERP newsletter and want to be acurate.

Don't quote me on this, but I think it was around '92 or '93. You may want to email Dave and Tracy Barker. I'm sure they would know for sure. Post the article when you are done. Speaking for everyone else, I'm sure we would all love to read it. Good luck.

According to Greg's book, in 1975 they were questioning whether the chondropython was a correct designation. In 1994 it became reassigned and designated Morelia. (pg 9 of the More Complete Chondro).

Thanks Meg. I wasn't quite sure but I knew it was somewhere around that time. Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know anything about "Chondrofest"? I posted on the site, but got no answer. Is it like other groups, ie. IAD, with speakers, workshops, etc?
