I'm asking because I'm in need of a female.

Thanks,
Frank

Well, I have eggs from every available member of the Dry clan except unicolor this year. You may wish to contact Tony Carlisle, as I know he has unicolor eggs incubating, or perhaps Chris Raden, as he produces some very nice uni's as well.

Good luck,

Jeff

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm doing a trade for a male Unicolor Cribo and I wanted to get a mate for him. I noticed there is not a lot of information about these snakes online. Are they rare? I sometimes see blacktail cribos or Yellow Tails but not the Unicolors?

Just rarely available, especially females. Keep your eyes and ears open and you will find one eventually. You may wish to check breeder listings at www.indigosnakes.com and make contact with those listed as working with D. m unicolor, as many maintain a waiting list for unicolor cribos, especially females. Keep in mind, in order to acquire a female; you may have to acquire a pair.
Wish I could be of more assistance, but I will not have unicolor hatchlings until next year.
For information regarding D. m unicolor, you can check the web site indicated earlier, as there is some data there, more to be added soon, but you would be wise to search the archives on this forum, as much has been posted here to their regard, probably more so than anywhere else..

Good luck,

Jeff

Hi. I've had one up for about a week. The great thing about living in FL is all the reptile keepers and dealers. I emailed a couple people to keep an eye out for me. So I should get a female eventually. The male arrived today and I was blown away by his appearence and temperament. Tame as a kitten and gorgeous. I put him in a 6' cage I had for sale on KS. I guess I have a really good use for it now.

Do all cribos in general have the same temerament? I held a blacktail a couple years ago and it was like holding a corn snake or one of my boas. A great experience and that's when I knew I wanted to get a cribo.

seems to me that uni's are the best of the known lot, always quite calm, very much like couperi. really, really good snakes esp. the cb's! some wc bt's can be a tad bit more excitable but are fairly good overall......& then completely dropping off the 'nice-ity scale' you have your wc yt's. although my cb female is 'ok' but she's a distant 3rd from even the typical wc uni.......
