Water conditioner for salamander

Tigarbarred May 11, 2006 12:18 PM

Greetings! I've recently moved to Houston, Texas and I'm concerned about the water quality for my pey. The water here is rusty and I want to be sure to protect my Tigar-Barred Salamander from harm. I've wondered if using a Britta water filter as well as using Reptisafe Instant Terrarium Water Conditioner might be helpful. Can anyone here tell me if this plan is advisable? I sure would appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Is it terrestrial or a larvae?

He's terrestrial.

Since you won't need that much just use distilled water that can be purchased by the gallon at any grocery store.
