I believe that it is possible that I could have both mojaves and pastels in the same clutch but unfortunately I can not get a pastel mojave in a clutch this way.

I didn't say anything

I know males will breed males........

they go by feel not by mental thought of what they like or what people think...

2 male 1 female......the males can smell a girl and they feel around for a "hot spot" and when they find it pop...it happens.and if there is the situation with 2 males on top YES a male can breed a male and maybe the bottom male is even breeding the girl at the same time.....maybe they are both breeding the girl........

stuff happens....

I saw a 5 foot 7 pound male ball breed a 7 foot male burm.......

and no they didn't get any eggs and neither snake had emotional issues.........

.........I just think it is not too smart to use 2 males at once......and I don't like using 2 morphs per female.....yes it doesn't matter due to them both being co-dom.....but it is better to know about how many of each morph you are to expect in the future.....

people........do what they want....

people......do what you want....I don't care......it don't matter to me......

........hell....throw a burm male in there too or a lavender albino retic......?

.....right?.........

At least in all of my years I've never seen a female receptive of breeding with 2 males after one male tagged her because of cloaca closing after male insemination of sperm. Unless it didn't take by the one male, and that is rare to non-existing and if you believe in the female ducts both being receptive to breeding and or both able to hold sperm, etc. ( almost sounds like a porn movie. LOL ! ) While I may agree that 2 males may go through the notion of what seems to be tagging each other, it's not ! Look no farther than the Canadian Garter snake that has been documented and on a television show of where the dominate male with the laid down femoral scent of the female will produce a similar scent to confuse other males into thinking that some of those males are females while he seeks out the female and breeds with her. Remember that the breeding response in males is 99.99% heighten/active response due to the female pre-breeding laid femoral scent. AND even in the television show and what I know, the male on male scenario doesn't go beyond the attempt of the confused males as to even have the cloaca opening for insertion of the hemi-pines. We are not talking DOGS here where the female stays in heat after breeding for a length of time to allow a re-breeding of another dog and that breeding supersedes in sperm count, or might, the original breeding. That's why so many dog owners are dumbfounded when they do not watch their still in heat [bleep]es, say Rotties, come up with cross litters of offsprings looking like wiener dogs. LOL ! All this in my years and observation and if you will, my honest opinion.

..responce was to person saying I called them gay

they could all be in any opening.

they are dogs

they are small....males are bred at little sizes not 5 foot 8 pounders hung well......2 could be at same time.

pic does not show what is actually going on.....

as I said.don't matter

after breeding .female will not close her vent......during or after.

I have bred a female to 3 males the same day...

females can and will hold sperm or release or let sperm die..

babies can be a product of first male last male or all the combined fathers....

snakes do what they want....

breed girl to 3 males......3 different morphs......one was Nov one Dec and one Jan...maybe the Jan sperm is more viable than the earlier and takes over to be the father more often in the clutch.......(let's say she ovulates in Feb)....

anyways..like I said .responce was to person who said I Called them gay.I didn't......

males do breed males.....

in what content ? Doesn't the word " receptive " kind of ring out here ? Maybe a animal planet show is in store here as to multi copulation of reptiles is either rare or not happening. In other words, the female once bred in snakes and probably all species of reptiles, closes the cloaca vent with the event of breeding. She IS NOT receptive of opening it again once taken. I'm not saying that a male will not attempt breeding within the proximity of the scent of ( like I said earlier ) his heighten sexual urges > I SAID ATTEMPT. Maybe a well known BREEDER can chime in here to prove one of us wrong ? My feelings won't be hurt if I'm wrong but in over 40 years of breeding, I've never witness a re-breeding once the female was bred in snakes. I HAVE seen multiple males try to breed one female but only one male was successful.

that you have every female of every species actually copulate just one time a year and her vent "locks shut" and there is NO re-copulation at all during the year???

nnnaaaaaaaaaah

.so why does everyone breed/get a ball to copulate multiple times,, a year????....

I have had a female breed/cop with 3 males within one day......within an hour or so with corns......(they take like 10 minutes each.).

balls take like 9 hours.....so yea,,I guess with them it is like one male a day or so.........maybe a male in the day then another at night and another the next day.

snakes will actually copulate about every other day if you just let them in the cage for multiple days.......yes I have seen this......and keyword is usually.......yes they do everyday or even more than once a day if the male is really stubborn....

.........

............so the female takes just one male's breeding?...

.......you been talking to my wife haven't you?....

What's stupid about it? It can happen.

Kevin

jyohe May 12, 2006 06:13 PM

males can and will fight...will bite...will rip scales from other males....use one at a time..

I had a male that would follow another male and bite him all over the front half.....and scales tore off (shed layer)....

...some don't just get along.......some are just dominate....
