Average Incubation time

cmscorns May 11, 2006 02:39 PM

I have heard a wide variety of information on my two questions but still wonder. What is the ideal temp for incubation? and What is the average time it takes to hatch from the time the eggs go into the incubator?

I currently have two clutches in my frig incubator at 85 according to the Helix and 84.9 according my digital thermometer.

I usually incubate between 80-82 degrees (home-made incubators, so need a bit of wiggle room for temp fluctuations).

Over the years, mine have averaged out at 65.5 days from laying to hatching.
