Help!!!I I think it might be bad!!!!

A week ago, I found an about inch by inch section on the center of my two year old beardy's back that was a very different color. For some reason, it had turned grey, and it happened quickly, not gradually. I thought that it was just a skin section ready to shed, so I sprayed her and left it. Now, the skin on that area has shed, and it's still that color. Does anyone know anything about this??? I could really use some help; I read that decoloration is a sign of stress. Or Bacterial/fungal infections. It also said I should seek immediate attentionif it's any of the above!! I don't think she's stressed at all, and she seems happy, it's like she's exactly the same as always ecxept for that spot!!
thanks
