shedding........

kindergecko May 11, 2006 09:33 PM

I've read so many things about leos shedding it's not funny. They all say something different. Well, my little Spot has started shedding and I was wondering how long do they shed for? I've heard a few hours, I've heard a few days depending on the age of the leo. i.e hatchlings take longer than adults. Is this true? Just wondering. thanks in advance.

well it seems like most of my adults shed overnight, so maybe 8 hours at the most. whoever wrote that about babies is nuts. my babies can shed in like 15 minutes. i have cleaned their cage while they were ready to shed, b4 the skin broke, then no more than 30 mins later i go to feed them and they are completley finished. i suppose the humudity level has a good part in the time process though. i have good humidity, maybe a hair higher then normal.
