ya know I think I know where you are refering to, I actually found one last year in Yucaipa under a BBQ in a back yard, it had bit a dog.

So Yucaipa, like Reche Canyon and Chino Hills must be an area were ruber and helleri overlap ranges. Odd that...never seen anything that looked like an hybrid.
